Personal Design Skills

With a diverse background in graphic design, acquired through my studies at two different colleges, I have developed a range of design skills. My first college emphasized the artistic aspects, while the second focused on design across various mediums. Further enhancing my abilities, I pursued a degree from Hull University, where I honed my proficiency in digital design.

My talent lies in hand created drawings, which played a pivotal role in my acceptance into both colleges. However, I have discovered that while Adobe software allows for easier creation of imaginative designs, it can sometimes feel like a more streamlined but efficient approach to design.

Exploring various techniques has expanded my skill set, and I have already identified my preferred ones, which I believe I can leverage to establish my own specialized design business in the future, if necessary.

Throughout my journey in pursuing a degree in graphic design, a significant revelation has been my deep enjoyment of the research aspect of the design process.

Delving into understanding the "client," their competitors, and the industry in which they operate has proven to be fascinating. This research ignites a passion for the subject matter, fueling my imagination and creativity to deliver outstanding projects. It enables me to make informed decisions regarding the business's focal points and guides the direction of the design.

I am eager to secure a position at a design agency to gain invaluable experience in the field and establish a real-world portfolio. This portfolio will serve as a stepping stone towards a successful design career.

As my career progresses, I aspire to work as a freelance designer, providing my services to diverse businesses across the globe. By doing so, I hope to combine my passion for design with my desire to travel.
